About EatsDirt™

EatsDirt™ started on our homestead in northern Wisconsin with a simple belief:

What goes into our animals eventually goes into us.

We raise Black Soldier Fly Larvae (BSFL) locally in northern Wisconsin and source domestically when needed within the US because we believe feed should be transparent, responsibly produced, and close to home, not imported from overseas with unknown inputs and shortcuts along the way.

Our operation is small by design, hands-on, and built around observation, care, and consistency. Every batch is raised, monitored, and handled with intention, from larvae to finished product. We don’t chase mass production. We focus on quality, reliability, and doing things the right way.

EatsDirt™ products are designed to support chickens, ducks, fish, wild birds, reptiles, and other animals with natural, protein-rich nutrition and enrichment, using ingredients we’re comfortable feeding our own animals. No mystery sourcing. No filler mindset. Just practical nutrition raised with purpose.

EatsDirt™ understands the importance of a healthy diet for our chickens.  To us, our chickens are more like pets than simply farm animals.  We are supposed to be a good steward to our animals which includes making sure they are well cared for with proper shelter, water, and feed. Our products align with this philosophy, and we feel that we bring a high-quality product, at an affordable price, ensuring the ingredients going into our products, are approved for our own flock, as well as yours.
